Sydney Tower

The most common names of the tower is Sydney Tower, AMP Tower, Sydney Tower Westfield Centrepoint Tower and Centrepoint. It is located in the city of Sydney in Australia. It is the tallest structure of the city (1.014 ft) and one of the most famous tourist attractions.
The construction started in 1970 (the office building) and was opened to public in August 1981. It was designed by Donald Crone and costed approximately A$ 36 million. Sydney Tower is ranked as one of the safest buildings in the world, being capable to resist to earthquakes and extreme wind conditions.
The gold turret has capacity for 960 persons and is divided into four sections: 360 Bar and Dining are in the first level of the tower; Sydney Tower Buffet is on the second level; Studio is located on level three and it is the highest event space in the Southern Hemisphere; and the observation deck in located on level four of Sydney Tower. The fourth level has also a small gift shop and multilingual touchscreens with information about wind speed, direction and other statistics of the tower. Recently, a 4D cinema opened on the fourth floor, too.
Skywalk is an opened-air platform made of glass and it is about 879 ft above the ground level. It was opened in 2005 and costed approximately A$ 4 million. The only way to access this part of the tower is by planned and booked tours.
People in Sydney Tower are the first to see the dawn and the last to see its final dusk in Sydney.
